About the Tip Grip Tool

The Tip Grip Tool is designed to restore texture to a glazed or polished cue tip without aggressively removing tip material.

Its textured working surface gently conditions the face of the tip, helping it accept and retain chalk while minimizing unnecessary material removal and helping preserve tip life.

How to Use

Place the cue tip against the textured surface and roll the tip across the tool, applying a small amount of pressure. As the tip rolls across the surface, the texture catches and lifts the leather fibers, creating a textured surface that is better able to accept and retain chalk.

Do not scuff or sand the tip against the tool. The Tip Grip Tool is designed to be used with a rolling motion rather than an abrasive back-and-forth motion. Rotate the cue as needed and repeat until the desired texture is achieved.
